“Together for Children”: Supported 3,863 Students in Thrace for the 2023-24 School Year

Together for Children, continuing to implement holistic intervention actions in Thrace’s schools, embraced 3,863 students and 547 teachers in 32 schools in the regional units of Evros, Rodopi, and Xanthi during the 2023-2024 school year through the “Together in Remote Areas” program. The program aims to ensure equal access to quality education for children and youth living in Greece’s remote areas.

The interventions were carried out in collaboration with local educational authorities, local organizations, and municipalities to meet the needs of public schools of all levels. Following a visit from the Together for Children team and evaluation of requests, targeted donations of educational materials and equipment were made in close cooperation with educators to meet each school’s specific needs.

Tatiana Moulouli, Head of “Together in Remote Areas” program, stated: “Together for Children” has been steadily supporting the children and teachers of Thrace for the past six years. Our vision is to eliminate geographical limitations and create the appropriate conditions for them to have equal opportunities with children living in the country’s urban centers. We aim to provide them with the necessary tools to pursue the future they dream of. Through the program’s implementation, children acquire new skills, become independent, collaborate, and explore their environment, achieving knowledge both individually and collectively.”
