Together for Children Meets with the Greek Diaspora
Event at the Consulate General of Greece in New York
Together for Children presented its work and activities at a special event held at the Consulate General of Greece in New York on Thursday, April 25, with members of the Greek community in attendance.
As Consul General Dinos Konstantinou emphasized in his welcoming remarks during the event: “Together for Children is a beacon of hope for our country with so many needs. It is an organization that truly deserves our support, and its work in Greece should be known. The Greek-American community truly contributes to Greece in many ways. On behalf of the Greek state, I want to warmly thank you for everything you do for Hellenism, which we must protect. Hellenism must remain alive for the next generations as you keep it in your hearts.”
Following this, Mrs Alexandra Martinou, president of Together for Children, presented the organization’s work, elaborating on its main programs and actions, and stated: “Our goal is to help more children in need in every corner of our country. Through these actions and programs, we strive to create the right conditions to offer equal opportunities to children and young people so they can develop their skills, pursue their dreams, and become equal citizens of the global community. To achieve our vision, we need the help of our friends. I am sure that all of you here today share the same thoughts with us. We thank Consul General Dinos Konstantinou and all of you who stand by us in this effort.”
Representing Together for Children at the event were Mrs. Alexandra Martinou President, Mrs. Errica Oikonomou, Mr. Ioannis Papadatos pediatrician and Mrs. Athena Konstantinou, members of the organization’s Board of Directors.
