The 8th NFL ATHENS supports Together for Children

The 8th NFL ATHENS supports Together for Children, aiming to support children with disabilities or health issues.

The goals and purpose were presented, along with the ambassadors of the 8th No Finish Line, the largest charitable sports event in Greece, supporting Together for Children since 2017, at an event held at The Mall Athens.

The 8th NFL Athens will take place from May 15th to 19th at the OAKA Market, aiming to support children with disabilities or health issues embraced by Together for Children.

As stated by Alexandra Martinou, President of Together for Children: “NFL Athens is one of the unique sports events where people run to help others. It’s a race with no end. NFL Athens has provided us with significant funds for 7 years, and every year the funds go to a different cause. Together for Children has been operating for 28 years with the purpose of helping children in need. Last year the funds were allocated to single-parent families, and this year the funds raised from the event will be given to families with a child facing a serious health issue or disability. We must ensure equal opportunities for all children to fulfill their dreams.”

The President of NFL Athens, Sofia Kede, highlighted the emotional response from the public, schools, and companies, leading to a significant increase in participation this year.

The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Sports and Education, Ioannis Voutsis, the CEO and General Secretary of No Finish Line International, Giannis Nikolaou, representing the international philanthropic organization of Monaco, Alexandra Martinou, President of Together for Children, and Sofia Kede, President of No Finish Line Athens.

The Deputy Regional Governor of the Northern Sector, Loukia Kefalogianni, the Deputy Regional Governor for Education, Innovation, and Social Policy, Errica Prezerakou, and the Deputy Regional Governor for Sports and Olympic Ideals, Vasiliki Millousi, also honored NFL Athens with their presence, along with Konstantinos Halioris, General Director-Coordinator of OAKA, as a co-organizer.

A few words about the race:

The 8th NFL Athens will kick off on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, at 9:30 AM at the OAKA Market. Participants of all ages and physical conditions can walk or run at any time of the day or night, for as many times and days they want, for as long as they want, on a one-kilometer circular route.
