Cerebral Palsy Greece | Open Door

Operates withing its premice:

  • Nursery school for children (aged 4-7)  aiming to develop the children’s mental, emotional, social and physical abilities and potential, while simultaneously preparing them for the difficult transition to mainstream primary education, by providing them with the necessary self-confidence.
  • Developmental Playgroup caters to profoundly disabled children (aged 6-12) who apart from their serious physical disability are further burdened by mental deficiency and problems of sight and hearing.
  • Special Primary School for children with cerebral palsy. A model state-run school offering specialized primary education to 40 children with cerebral palsy.
  • Prevocational Training and Occupational Group for adolescents, staffed by highly specialized personnel.   
  • Productive Workshops for adults with cerebral palsy (gift items and Jewelry & Accessories, pastry, gardening workshops) having as an objective the establishment of small social corporations and the placement of our young people in the open labor market.

  • Λειτουργία προ-επαγγελματική Κατάρτισης, Επαγγελματική Κατάρτισης και  ΚΕΠΠ (Κέντρο Επαγγελματικής Προετοιμασίας και Προώθησης) για νέους και νέες με νοητικές αναπτυξιακές διαταραχές ή διαταραχές του αυτιστικού φάσματος, μετά το πέρας  της υποχρεωτικής τους εκπαίδευσης. 
  • Πρακτική ή εθελοντική άσκηση, ψυχολόγων, εργοθεραπευτών, ειδικών παιδαγωγών, κοινωνικών λειτουργών κ.α

Provides specialized training to health, education, mental health professionals and volunteers to support children and adolescents facing serious illness or the death of a loved one.

PNOE-Friends of Children in Intensive Care

  • Organizes courses for Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid.
  • Provides training to the Medical and Nursing staff of Intensive Care Units.

Friends of the Child

Operating a nursery school for children aged 2-6 coming from underprivileged families. 

Center for individuals with Special Needs "Hara"

  • Informing school students about people with disabilities through visits at the Center.
  • Providing internships for research purposes to higher education students.
