Together for Children Honored at the Blue Dream Summer Gala at the Hamptons
For the First Time, the Gala Supports an Organization Outside the United States
This year, Together for Children is the organization supported by the Blue Dream Summer Gala, a major philanthropic event of the Greek-American community in the Hamptons, organized by the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Hamptons. Notably, this marks the first time that the Blue Dream Gala has honored an organization based outside the United States.
In 2026, Together for Children celebrates 30 years of supporting children and families across Greek society. Being recognized by the Blue Dream Summer Gala is a meaningful acknowledgment of the organization’s longstanding work and marks an important step in expanding its reach internationally. For three decades, Together for Children has stood alongside children and families in need, implementing programs across Greece focused on alleviating poverty, supporting physical and mental health, and advancing education.
The event brought together members of the Greek-American community in the United States, representatives of the business community, socially engaged individuals, and supporters of Together for Children’s work for an evening dedicated to giving and solidarity.
During the event, Alexandra Martinou, President of Together for Children, presented for the first time the Unforgettables initiative, which aims to build a meaningful bridge between the Greek diaspora and their places of origin. Through this initiative, members of the Greek diaspora will have the opportunity to support projects in their hometowns and regions of origin in the areas of education, healthcare, sports, and child protection. Together for Children will design and implement projects that address the specific needs of each community and create a lasting positive impact at the local level.
Alexandra Martinou said:“The support of Blue Dream is particularly meaningful to Together for Children, as it gives us the opportunity to share our work beyond the borders of Greece, with the Greek diaspora and the international community. In a year that marks 30 years of supporting children and families across Greek society, this recognition inspires us to continue being there for every child who needs us. We are deeply grateful to Father Alexander Karloutsos, the community of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Church in the Hamptons, and everyone who has embraced our work and mission and is helping us take the message of giving for every child even further.”
