Together for Children creates two modern STEM classrooms in Thrace with the support of ELPEN
Together for Children, with the support of ELPEN, has created two new STEM classrooms at the 1st Primary School of Soufli and the 5th Experimental Primary School of Komotini, as part of the Remote Areas program. These interventions provide 320 students and 53 teachers with an advanced learning environment tailored to the needs of modern education.
The new STEM classrooms bring students closer to the sciences and contemporary technologies through experiential learning and interaction. Their aim is to promote digital literacy, creative and critical thinking, while also strengthening collaboration, teamwork, and children’s self-confidence.
The classroom equipment, selected in close collaboration with the teachers, includes interactive electronic systems, books, and educational materials covering subjects such as biology, physics, mathematics, geography, engineering, and environmental studies, as well as literature and poetry. Through innovative activities, students have the opportunity to discover their interests and develop new perspectives for their personal growth.
Alexandra Martinou, President of Together for Children, stated:
“ With great satisfaction, at Together for Children we deliver two new STEM classrooms in Thrace, opening new learning pathways for children and offering opportunities for creative engagement with science and technology. We extend our warm thanks to ELPEN for its immediate and positive response to our call. Its support was instrumental in the implementation of these interventions, providing children in Thrace with equal opportunities for creative learning and skills development.”
The co-CEO of the ELPEN Group, Mr. Theodoros Tryfon, noted:
“For the Management and all employees of ELPEN, supporting the needs of residents in Greece’s border regions is a key pillar of our Corporate Social Responsibility Program. We are therefore particularly pleased to have collaborated with Mazi gia to Paidi to create these two STEM classrooms at the 1st Primary School of Soufli and the 5th Experimental Primary School of Komotini. We firmly believe that all children, without exception, should have access to a modern educational environment and be exposed to technology, digital tools, experiential learning, and interaction. We are proud that a Group of 1,800 employees continuously creates opportunities for the youth of our country.”
