Together for Children collected more than 38,000 school supplies for children in need

Together for Children, as part of the “I Offer Because I Care” program, successfully completed once again the “Back to School” initiative, offering meaningful support to students living in child protection facilities. Thanks to collective effort, more than 38,000 school supplies were collected—including school bags, pencil cases, notebooks, pencils, pens, markers, colored pencils, sketchpads, and other essential items—which will be distributed to over 800 children supported by child protection organizations.

Specifically, with the help of volunteers from schools, the company Ayvens, and friends of Together for Children, we organized a school supply collection event at Evripidis Bookstore in Kifisia, where many people contributed to ensuring that no child is deprived of the essential items needed for the new school year.

This initiative was significantly strengthened by the support of companies such as Accenture, BIC, bwin, Deloitte, Hemmersbach Hellas, and NYX Esperia Palace Athens, who donated thousands of school supplies, as well as the Parents’ Association of the 6th Primary School of Haidari and the PAOK Thessaloniki Football Academy. With the meaningful contributions of companies, individual donors, and volunteers, we turned the message of solidarity and giving into action.

As Ms. Matina Antoniou, social worker and head of the “I Offer Because I Care” program of Together for Children, stated:
“We sincerely thank everyone who participated in this initiative—our volunteers, the companies and their employees, and the public who responded to our call. With their participation, we ensure that more children will begin the new school year with the necessary school supplies at hand.”
