“The Children of Greece: Their Present and Future” | NKUA Conference with the support of Together for Children
The conference “The Children of Greece: Their Present and Future” was successfully held on October 29, 2025, at the A. Argyriadis Hall of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). The event was organized by NKUA in collaboration with Together for Children.
During the conference, the first results of the ongoing research conducted by NKUA—with the support of Together for Children, the Hellenic Parliament, and Jotis S.A.—were presented, under the direction of Professor of Sociology Nikos Panagiotopoulos. The study examines the social distances and inequalities that shape childhood in Greece.
Experts from the fields of medicine, psychology, sociology, and education exchanged views on how children’s diverse living conditions affect their future—and, by extension, the future of society as a whole.
The conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family.
