Speech by World-Renowned Geneticist David Sinclair in Support of Together for Children and SolidarityNow

Together for Children and SolidarityNow hosted geneticist and Harvard Medical School professor Dr. David Sinclair at a charity dinner held at the Peristyle of Zappeion on Wednesday, February 12. The event aimed to support the efforts of both organizations, which provide assistance to children and vulnerable social groups.

A large number of guests attended to hear Dr. Sinclair’s speech titled “Reversing Aging in Humans: How Close Are We?” and to support the mission of the two organizations.

Dr. David Sinclair is one of the most influential scientists in the world, known for his work on controlling the aging process. He is a Professor in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School, a member of the Blavatnik Institute, the Founding Director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for Aging Research, and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Aging. His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of aging and discovering methods to slow it down or even reverse it.

During his speech, the distinguished scientist presented the findings of his research, which focuses on identifying genes that fight diseases and aging, with the goal of treating them. He also discussed the latest technologies being developed in this field. Finally, he shared simple and practical lifestyle tips with the audience—habits that anyone can adopt, regardless of socioeconomic status, and that have been proven to positively impact longevity and slow down aging.

Mrs. Alexandra Martinou, President of Together for Children stated:
