Free Online Psychoeducational Seminars for Parents in June
The Counseling Center of Together for Children is organizing free online psychoeducational seminars for parents on the following topics:
“Anxiety: Recognition & Management”
📅 Wednesday, June 4 | 🕠 17:30–19:00
What is anxiety? Where do we notice it and how do we experience it? How can we manage it? How can we help someone experiencing intense anxiety? Are there techniques that can help de-escalate and express it in a functional way?
This seminar aims to provide basic guidelines for identifying, managing, and functionally expressing anxiety.
For parents of school-aged children and adolescents.
“Self-Esteem”
📅 Tuesday, June 10 | 🕠 17:30–19:00
📅 Friday, June 27 | 🕠 17:30–19:00
Self-esteem is a crucial factor in a child’s mental health. It shapes their sense of self-worth, their belief in their ability to succeed, and their capacity to find satisfaction in achieving goals. Parental expectations and how they handle their children’s successes and failures play a critical role in promoting self-esteem, managing disappointments, and fostering a positive outlook on life.
This seminar will explore the factors that influence self-esteem and the importance of parental attitudes in creating a safe environment for healthy emotional and social development.
For parents of children of all ages.
“Adolescence”
📅 Thursday, June 12 | 🕠 17:30–19:00
Adolescence is a time of significant physical and emotional changes, as children transition into adulthood.
This seminar aims to help parents understand adolescents and strengthen their parental role by bridging communication gaps and finding more effective ways to connect.
For parents of adolescents.
“Emotional Development of Infants and Toddlers”
📅 Wednesday, June 18 | 🕠 17:30–19:00
What are the developmental stages of a child? How does the family environment impact emotional development?
The relationships children form with significant adults and peers, both within the family and in early education settings, play a vital role in shaping their personality and emotional-social development.
The goal of this seminar is to help parents recognize how they can support their child’s healthy emotional development through meaningful interaction.
For parents of infants and toddlers.
“Family Communication”
📅 Friday, June 20 | 🕠 17:30–19:00 | [Register HERE]
This seminar explores the challenges of parent-child communication and offers effective strategies for resolving conflicts, setting boundaries, and improving interaction, in order to protect and strengthen family relationships.
For parents of school-aged children and adolescents.
“Children & the Internet”
📅 Tuesday, June 24 | 🕠 17:30–19:00
Technology is an integral part of everyday life for both parents and children. From TVs and computers to tablets and smartphones, digital devices are everywhere.
How we use these tools—and how we introduce them to our children—will determine whether their impact is beneficial or harmful.
For parents of children of all ages.
“Anger in Adolescence”
📅 Thursday, June 26 | 🕠 17:30–19:00
Adolescence involves intense biological and emotional changes. Teens face many transitions, and anger is a natural response to these challenges.
As adolescents form their identities, they may feel anger due to uncertainties, social or academic pressures, or conflicts with family and peers.
While anger can help teens process their experiences, managing it can be difficult—for them and their parents.
This seminar aims to help parents understand the biological and emotional roots of adolescent anger and learn strategies for healthy expression and regulation.
For parents of children aged 10–18.
