Vacations at ... home!

During vacations, children need a good rest and a change of scenery. But how can parents tell them that they cannot afford to go on holidays without making them feel inferior?

The financial austerity  has affected all of us, creating anxiety and insecurity about the future. Families are asked to redefine their needs and priorities. Following those changes it is important to realize that our happiness does not depend solely on money. There are alternative forms of entertainment that can perhaps give us more pleasure, bringing us very close to our loved ones without having to spend money.

Try to spend more  time with your children. First we have to realize that many of needs of the children are created to artificially replace the absence of parents. So, during summer, it is important for children even if you do not go on vacations to make sure to spend time with them. Parental presence is substantial, not avoiding the exposure of children in today's difficult economic situation, but without overdoing it.

Try to visit near the city destinations with a low cost of access. Be a tourist in your city. It is a great opportunity to see the museums, seasides, touristic sights and learn about the history of your city. Staying at home can give you the opportunity to  do things that did not have time for before, as well as exercise more and emphasize on healthy eating.

Whether you go on vacations or not it is a great opportunity to spend quality time with your family!
