Useful advice for the development of self-esteem in children and adults

In order to cultivate our self-esteem and our children's  we need to follow some conditions.

First of all we need to accept our uniqueness and every person's uniqueness. People have similarities and also traits that make them unique.

Parents should avoid insisting to raise their child in accordance with an ideal model they have and not taking into account the child's individual characteristics. Parents need to focus on how to help their child unfold his/her potential and to discover himself/herself. The assumption of a person's uniqueness is threatened by comparison,  which might discourage someone. Almost always, comparison leads to lack of self-esteem and self acceptance.
