115 25 - Together for Children Helpline

In February 2009, the Together for Children Association launched the “115 25 Help Line”, a counseling and referral service for children, adolescents, parents and teachers.

The Help Line operates five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 21:00. Phone calls are charged at a local rate regardless of their duration or from which part of Greece the call is coming from. All calls are treated with absolute confidentiality.

A number of qualified professionals, social workers or counselors/psychologists and psychotherapists to support  and help callers in a wide range of topics concerning:
• Children and/or adolescents issues: stress, anger, interpersonal relationships, child-parent relationships
• Children’s and adolescents’ mental health
• Domestic violence
• Child protection - children and adolescents at risk
• Reports for child abuse
• Children with special needs
• Public services for the family, children and adolescents
• Other specialized services such as the ones offered by the association’s member organizations

Moreover, a Counseling Centre for parents has been established having as an objective to support inform and mentor parents through a number of parent groups, Psycho-Educational Seminars and individual sessions. It also cooperates with schools and parents' associations, conducting presentations and seminars to educational institutions of the Attica prefecture.

The Counseling Center operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 21:00 and its services are free of charge. 

It is based at the Solidarity Center situated at Larissa Station, Domokos and Philadelphia Street, in the city center of Athens and is housed along with three other NGOs: Arsis, the Network for the Rights of the Child and Praksis - offering other social and legal services to vulnerable groups.

The Network aims to defend the rights of children and young people worldwide and numbers 181 child-friendly telephone lines in 147 countries worldwide.
